At age 16 Rachel started cycling to rehab her knee after a ski racing accident. She fell in love with the sport, and has been cycling competitively ever since representing BC at the Canada Summer Games, Western Canada Summer Games, senior and junior Road and Track Nationals as well as in Europe with amateur Dutch and Belgian teams.
In 2011 Rachel certified as a NCCP cycling coach and works with individuals, clubs as well as the velodrome, TaG cycling, and various outdoor learn to ride and race programs.
Apart from her time spent racing and coaching, Rachel is also a support worker and program leader for the mentally and physically disabled. She recently graduated with a degree in Kinesiology at UBC.
